Do you want to add a custom third-party domain name to your Blogger blog? If your answer is yes, then congrats! You have landed on the right website. In this article, I am going to explain how to add a third party domain such as domain bought from GoDaddy, Namecheap, and others to a Blogger account.

If you have already purchased a domain name from third parties such as Hostgator and Bluehost, then you will have to link the domain name to your Blogger. By doing so, you can say goodbye to the Blogspot.com subdomain, which is useful for learning the blogging. Let’s learn how to do it practically. So what’s the wait? Let’s dive in.

Why Should You not Use the BlogSpot.com Subdomain?

The BlogSpot subdomain is free to use; hence it is pretty good for those who don’t have the budget for buying hosting and domain name. But when it comes to professional blogging and commercial business, subdomains stand no chance on Google SERP.

Do you know that it is tough to rank a BlogSpot website on Google results? Yes, it is true, and you can’t even think for ranking on the 1st page of Google if the competition is high or medium. So if you are planning to create a professional blog and the commercial business site, then never go for subdomains like BlogSpot, WordPress.com, Webnode.com, and more.

You can go for third party domain providers, and if you want to create a blog, then buy a domain name directly from Google Domains since you can link it to your Blogger in a single click.
